Recorded in/at his home studio near Byron Bay, Australia over a handful of months primarily for Stab magazine’s sweeping surf visuals, Rick Snowden used his full cadre of synthesizers, guitars and various digital and analog knick knacks to convey the vast range of experience and emotion created when a body meets the ocean.
There’s a wide spectrum of tones throughout, from spacey grooves, funk, kraut, synthwave, lofi indie and more. A testament to Rick’s wide ranging influences and production techniques.

“The song was born around a DX7 synth patch I stumbled upon one day. It had this exotic, otherworldly-yet-uplifting energy about it. As the track took shape it began to transcend the sum of its parts. I found I couldn’t compare it to any reference or particular inspiration – I love when that happens.”
